2014 Minnesota Biennial call for artists

The Minnesota Museum of American Art is accepting submissions for the 2014 Minnesota Biennial, which will be held this summer. The submissions will be accepted from March 10 through April 18.   "The competition will be opened up to all Minnesota artists to offer the public a snapshot of, quite simply, the best art and craft being made throughout the state today, and to celebrate the many different and unique forms that artistic ingenuity takes in Minnesota. ... [The] biennial will reflect the diversity of artistic practice in Minnesota, honoring artists young and old, emerging and established, urban and rural, and those who work in traditional and unconventional media including but not limited to: painting, sculpture, printmaking, collage, clay, fabric, glass, wood, performance art, social practice, installation, video, and photography." Each artist can submit up to 4 recent, completed pieces of art. Forty pieces will be selected by a jury for the Biennial. The artwork must be for sale.
